Where it Began

Alluvial Apparel Company was founded in 2019 when Analeise and John Thomas decided to build something entirely their own. Their first brand, S'EDGE (now Thomas & Lourdes) launched in January 2020. John was managing all production in Los Angeles at the time, traveling constantly across cut-and-sew facilities, dye houses, and finishing houses: everything was horizontal, nothing was efficient. Two months after launch, COVID shut everything down.

COVID forced a reckoning with how the business was built and they used the time to rebuild it entirely. This kept the company alive to build what came next. In 2022, Alluvial moved production overseas to vertical factories capable of delivering full-package products solving the fragmentation problem entirely and creating the infrastructure to launch multiple brands. Alden Adair launched that same year, followed by Le Marais in 2023 and Double A in 2025.

Analeise brought something to this that can't be taught: years of building brands from the ground up and the instinct that comes from a lifetime inside the industry. John brought the financial discipline and long-term thinking that kept the company solvent through its hardest years and positioned it to grow. Together they built something neither would have built alone.

Alluvial Apparel Company takes its name from the rich soil deposited by water over time: things built slowly, in layers, that become something fertile. It's a philosophy as much as a name. A family business with a genuine point of view about what it means to build brands that last.
